Martina is a ceramic artist living in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where she works full time from her home studio. It all started with a tiny Paragon kiln back in 2013 whilst living in Scotland. It fitted one mug, but it was big enough to fire a few pieces of jewellery. Working with clay brought so much joy to Martina’s life, the freedom to create anything was almost overwhelming. Her online shop took off, and she was soon able to make a living from making ceramic jewellery. She loved to explore imperfect organic shapes, different colour combinations, and patterns. After returning to her home country, Slovenia, she finally bought a much larger kiln and started to make tableware as well. Nowadays she happily alternates between the two and both still bring her an immense amount of joy. Martina is completely self-taught.
