Job Application – Guide to Completing an Application Form
1. Personal Information
Please ensure that you include all the relevant information in the correct sections. That includes your name, email address and phone number.
2. Education
You are required to include all your qualifications from secondary school (including grades / results), up to degree level and beyond, if relevant.
It’s important that you have the minimum educational requirements outlined for the job. Your application may be filtered out if you do not meet the minimum requirements.
3. Work History
It’s important to include your employment history, starting with your most recent job and working backwards. Don’t forget to include any voluntary or unpaid jobs and even holiday jobs.
If there are gaps in your employment – you may have taken time away from work - make sure you include all the relevant details. Outline what you did and where you went, what jobs or volunteer work you undertook during that time and any skills you acquired along the way.
4. Courses
Detail any relevant courses you have completed during any of you current and or previous jobs. We require the dates of the course and the result, if applicable
5. References
You should have two references. One should be from your current employer, the other can be from a different employer, or a character reference from a current colleague, please note we cannot accept references from family members.
If that is not applicable – or possible – make sure you include someone who has worked with you in a permanent position; or someone who worked with you during a volunteering stint or internship.
Remember to ask the referees for permission to include their details on your application form.
6. Relevant Training / Continued Development
Include any relevant training or personal development that you may have completed that is not included in the work history section.
7. Additional Information
This is where you need to outline your reasons for applying for the job and how you meet the required criteria. Tell us why you are the best and why we should forget the rest. This is your opportunity to make your application stand out from the rest
Take time to compose this – it will allow you to demonstrate your suitability for the job. If you are already familiar to us, do not assume we already know everything about your suitability.

If the post requires a Basic Disclosure or PVG check you must be willing to cover the cost for the check or you will not be able to proceed with your application. Information on how it is paid is detailed on the application form and is not required to be paid at this stage.
