⚒ Community Archaeology Excavation of Zetland Park ⚒
Have you ever wanted to be part of a archeological excavation? Well, this is your chance to dig up a fascinating part of Grangemouth town's early history and to participate in its continuing story.
On the 29th of April until the 5th of May there is a community dig in Zetland Park, Grangemouth, on the site of the medieval monastic grange which gives the town its name.
The enclosure is still surrounded by an earthen bank and ditch from which 13th century pottery was recovered two years ago.
This year we will examine the SE corner of the interior where there is the best chance of surviving remains.
