Callendar House and Park is the perfect day out for the whole family! Take a stroll around the beautiful parklands, stop in at the tearoom for a cuppa 'n' cake or book in for a delicious Afternoon Tea. You can park, explore the house, our exhibitions, the Georgian Kitchen and the playpark for FREE then stock up on some pressies at the gift shop on your way out. Entry to the house remains free and you no longer need to pre-book your visit. You can however book in advance for our delicious Afternoon Tea and a table in the Tea Room. You can book online below or by calling us on 01324 506850.

Booking and Info

Our Tearoom serves scrumptious food and you can also enjoy a delicious Afternoon Tea in the stunning surroundings of the Drawing Room, over looking the splendour of Callendar Park.
Besides a selection of Teas and Coffees, you’ll tuck into treat after treat including freshly prepared sandwiches, mouth-watering home baked scones with preserve and scrumptious cakes. 


Walk ins welcome for the Tearoom but please pre book your afternoon teas in our drawing room.

Festive Afternoon Teas are available from 30 November.  Pre book here.

 

 

Booking Information

The Park Gallery exhibition spaces within the house offer a changing programme of contemporary visual art exhibitions – our current exhibitions are Flux and Dunmore: A conversation in Pottery featuring artists Steph Liddle.

The exhibition are free to visit.  We are open every day except Tuesday, 10am – 5pm.

 

By Car
The Postcode to use to find us is: Callander Rd, Falkirk FK1 1YR

Free Parking: The car park is accessed via Seaton Place (passed the high flats, across from the row of cottages). Additional parking available at Estates Avenue. 

Disabled parking available in front of Callendar House.

By Train
Falkirk is served by 2 railway stations, Falkirk High and Falkirk Grahamston. which has regular trains on the Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh lines.

If you are traveling by bus there are few bus routes that stops near the Callander Park: 1, F16, F25, X38.

We have bike racks available for use by the house.

 

Falkirk Archives is located in the oak-panelled Victorian library of Callendar House, and is the place to come to find out about the history of Falkirk district or to start your family history research. Local archives and photographs are held here, and may be viewed by the public. Most aspects of local life are covered, from valuation and electoral rolls to old newspapers, from school records to town council minutes, from foundry catalogues to church bazaar programmes, and all sorts of things in between.

tearoom, view artwork in our Park Gallery, search our Archives, or enjoy a delicious
afternoon tea in our Drawing Room, we guarantee an unforgettable experience.
We are fully accessible for wheelchair users and can cater for anyone with other specific
access requirements.

Visiting Callendar House

Callendar Park is a nationally important historic landscape which contains a section of the Roman Antonine Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Callendar Park is the jewel in the crown of parks within the Falkirk area, covering over 170 acres and housing the magnificent Callendar House. Whether you're looking for an action packed day or a place to take the children for a picnic and a play, Callendar Park has something for everyone.

The park has 3 car parks and a Roman themed kids play park which are all FREE to use!
