Through activity learning, pupils will learn why and how the Antonine Wall was built and imagine what life was like for soilders stationed at the wall. Pupils will investigate the exhibitions, handle real and replica Roman objects, reconstruct a model of the Antonine Wall and examine and compare replica armour.
The session is completed by a visit to the Antonine Wall World Heritage site in Callendar Park with creative activities to imagine what life was like for the Roman soldiers (welly boots recommended and please dress for the weather).
