{RAMMY: Scots noun meaning a noisy disturbance or free-for-all}
Calling all budding writers! 2021 sees the return of Falkirk Libraries short fiction and poetry competition, The Writing Rammy.
The Writing Rammy is open to all ages, from 5 to 105! You just need to live in the wider Falkirk area. Taking part couldn’t be easier; just write a short piece of fiction or poetry on a theme of your choice.
Our favourite entries will receive a gift voucher, some nice stationery and an invitation to our celebration event, where we'll invite you to stand up and read your entry (if you want to).
About the Writing Rammy
Our panel will choose a winner and runner up in each of the following categories
- 12 and Under
- 13-17
- 18+
- Family Rammy (best family entry)
Winners will be announced mid-November and invited to a special prize giving ceremony during Book Week Scotland on Thursday 18 November, 2021.
