What to Expect
Our Family Festival is designed to offer something for everyone whether you want to get active, be entertained or simply enjoy a great day out with family and friends.
Live Stage Programme
Our main stage will host a packed programme of Commonwealth-themed performances and entertainment throughout the day, including:
Live music
Dance performances
Cultural showcases
Community acts
Live workouts
All acts will be announced shortly & full stage schedule will be available below
3 x 3 Basketball Competition | Primary and Secondary aged competition, registration required – sign up as a Team of 3-4 players. |
Football Games Sessions | See our timetable for drop-in football games, turn up at the start time and you will be allocated a team to play some fun, friendly football matches. |
Rugby | Take part in a series of rugby skills and games sessions throughout the day. |
Family Fun Run | In partnership with Falkirk Junior Park Run we will have set times for families to take part in a 1km fun run around The Helix Park Lagoon. |
Family Cycling | Come and cycle with us around The Helix Park Lagoon. We will have bikes available for families to ride around our easy all-path course. |
Tennis | We will have Tennis set up for free play sessions, just turn up and jump on a court. |
Fun Family Races | We will be organising fun races for all the family. This will take place in the centre of The Great Lawn! |
Inflatable Sports | Get involved with some of our amazing Sports Inflatables including – hardest football shot, Fastest Tennis Serve, Rugby tackle bags, Cricket batting alley and much more. |
Golf | Have a go on the Trackman golf simulator where we will have the option to take part in our long drive and closest to the pin competition! |
Health & Fitness | Join Falkirk Council's Health & Fitness Team to take part in the large group exercises and fitness challenges across the week. |

Local Sports Club Involvement Are you a Falkirk based sports club looking to get involved with our Family Festival? There are opportunities to get involved with:
Delivering sports coaching sessions / demonstrations.
Host a stall at our club fayre and promote your club.
Work in partnership to volunteer at our event.
