Statement Regarding FTH Theatre (Falkirk Town Hall) Closure
At a meeting held on Wednesday 28 September 2022, Falkirk Council voted in favour to permanently close FTH (Falkirk Town Hall) Theatre on Monday 6 February 2023.
The required due diligence and common good consultation process will now be carried out with formal confirmation of the decision expected at the next Council meeting on 14 December 2022.
Following the decision on 28 September 2022, the Council has advised officers to progress proposals for the delivery of a new Falkirk Town Hall civic and arts facility with further detail being shared on a revised business case and locational options when available.
We will be cancelling all affected performances in 2023 and customers will receive a refund for any shows no longer able to go ahead.
In the meantime, we are operating as business as usual for the remainder of the year and we will continue to promote and sell tickets for all future FTH performances in 2022 – see here for our full events listing.
We will continue to keep you updated on the development of a new arts facility and our adapted programme of events. We thank you for your continued support of FTH Theatre and if you have any queries regarding this decision, please contact: arts@falkirk.gov.uk
