Why is the Adult ticket the same price as a Child ticket? 

The Christmas Adventure is not just a traditional Santa’s Grotto. It’s a 40-minute performance featuring professional actors and an enchanting set, designed to create a magical experience for all ages.

Can I take pictures?

Yes, you can take photos and videos throughout just make sure you turn off the flash. At the end, you'll get a chance to take a photo with Santa himself. 
 
How long does the adventure take? 

It takes roughly 45minutes.

Will there be a present from Santa? 

Yes, this year Santa will be giving a small gift to all children.

Is there parking for the event? 

Yes, there are three car parks in Callendar Park. We recommend using the two closest to the house for convenience, especially with little ones. Follow the signs from the main road for Callendar House and drive past the high flats to enter the park. 

Is there more accessible parking for wheelchair users/less abled folks? 

Yes, disabled parking spaces are available; just follow the signs past the front door of Callendar House to the gravel area beside the wall, which is convenient for level access. No blue badge needed. Please note, there is no parking directly in front of the house due to emergency vehicle access requirements. Be cautious when driving to the disabled parking area as it will be busy with pedestrians.

Is there wheelchair access? 

Yes, there is a level access door to the left of the main front door, which opens to a lift providing access to all areas of the house except the Christmas tree and the shop. We will assist with ramp access to these areas if needed. For the adventure, there is ramp access to ensure everyone in a wheelchair can enjoy the experience, with only a slight route change that staff will coordinate with you.

When should I arrive for my timeslot? 

Please check in at the gift shop no later than 10 minutes before your scheduled start time. You don’t need to print your tickets; confirmation on your phone is sufficient, or we can find your booking details upon arrival. Note that most prime time slots are sold out, so if you miss your time, we unfortunately cannot move you to another slot. Please arrive promptly.

Is there a cloakroom? 

We encourage you to make yourself comfortable and remove bulky jackets before entering the adventure. There is a long corridor with pegs near the public toilets, which you are welcome to use. However, this area is open to the public, so leaving valuable items here is at your own risk.

Can we take a pram on The Adventure? 

We ask that you leave prams under the stairs at reception unless essential. If you need to take the pram with you, please inform a staff member at reception.

What is different about the Relaxed/ASN sessions? 

We understand that waiting can be challenging for some, so we have a room on the 1st floor just off the Roman Gallery with colouring activities and sofas for a quieter space before your time slot. These sessions have a reduced capacity of 16 people, and the Elves will adapt to the group’s needs while ensuring a full experience. There is flexibility with the run time too so if needed, it can go over the regular schedule.
