At one time Red Kites were Britain's most common bird of prey, but during the 19th century they were wiped out. A Sky Full of Kites is the story of the Argaty Red Kite project, based near Stirling, and the re-establishing of these magnificent raptors to Scotland.
It is also the story of a farmer's son looking for ways to rewild a farm, making it a home for red squirrels, pine martens, otters, beavers and many more incredible animals. The book shows Tom's passion for nature and conservation.
Join us to learn how Tom and his family rewilded their Argaty farm to make a home for Red Kites, Otters, Red Squirrels, Beavers and other incredible wildlife.
As well as writing A Sky Full of Kites, A Rewilding Story, Tom is freelance journalist, has spoken at events across the UK and is often asked to contribute his expertise to rewilding conversations.
