Paddlesports | Summer Outdoor Adventure Days | 11+

Paddlesports is our catch all term for kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding – they both use a paddle to move in the water. It’s great fun. Getting wet is a certainty. You don’t even need to be able to swim.

The Outdoor Activities team have been delivering our Youth Adventure Programme for over 30 years, offering unforgettable experiences in some of Scotland’s most stunning locations. This summer, all activities will run from our Bothkennar Hub Outdoor Activity Base, combining expert instruction, safe supervision and maximum adventure.

Our summer programmes have been heavily subsidised by sportscotland to celebrate the Summer of Sport.

All activities run 09:00–16:00, with drop-off from 08:30 and pick-up between 16:00–16:30.

Suitable for:

• Young Adventure Days (ages 9+) – fun-focused, shorter journeys

• Adventure Days (ages 11+) – bigger challenges and more adventure

All sessions are beginner-friendly, with plenty of scope to challenge more adventurous participants.

Kit list

• Towel

• Complete change of clothing (including spare trainers)

• Packed lunch and drinks

• Any relevant medication

All specialist equipment will be supplied.

Activity Levels:

All our activity courses this summer are for BEGGINERS (B). However, there is plenty of scope to challenge everyone - Even the most adventurous kids.

For all courses the venues are not specified this is due to the nature of the activities and possibility of change

If the advertised activity has to change due to weather, staffing of other unpredictable reasons, then an alternative activity will be offered.
