International Make Music Day is on Friday 21st June and to celebrate we’re hosting a day of music at Falkirk Library - pop in to support local musicians and your local library.

For families
In Falkirk Library's Children's area, youngsters can pretend to be rock stars, posing with our you'll find inflatable instruments to pose with to take photos, colouring pages, ipads with music making games and fun videos to sing along with on our big TV.

If you're heading to a Friday Bookbug session in our libraries you're likely to find some extra fun with songs and music.

If you’re a singer songwriter, part of a choir, or want to share some unplugged music, we’d love to have you.
Drop an email to libraryevents@falkirk.gov.uk and, if you can, link to a performance you’ve shared online or attach a clip to your email.
Please also share times you are free to perform e.g. between 11am and 12.30pm. Performance times are when the library is open between 10.30am and 4.30pm
Depending on response, we’ll offer slots up to 20 minutes in our atrium.

We can’t pay you to perform, but you can collect tips/donations. We do ask you not to solicit donations and people should not feel pressured to donate.

Plugging in: We can’t provide a place to plug in, so all performances must be acoustic.
Parking: There is no parking space at the library, but you can park for a limited time to the right of the library building in time for your slot
