Classic Music Live! Falkirk has teamed up with Glasgow-based Silviya Mihaylova who has recommended two of her most talented pupils to play for us. Liam McGrath finished his studies at Ardrossan Academy this year gaining a qualification in musical leadership coordinated by the Royal Conservatoire in Glasgow. In 2022, Liam was awarded second prize in the Nite Piano School's "New Piano Stars" competition. He began studying at the RCS Junior Conservatoire in September 2023. Joel Gutierrez is a 17-year-old pianist from Edinburgh with Spanish and Ecuadorian roots. At the age of 7 he taught himself how to play piano on a little keyboard which he was given for Christmas. He currently studies at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland juniors. Last year when he won the RCS Concerto Competition. He recorded solo piano for BBC Radio Scotland in 2022.
