1.21 Due to an outbreak of Avian Flu in England, we have been instructed by the Animal and Plant Health Agency to bring all of our birds inside to protect them from migratory birds who might be carriers.  We will therefore require to close the barns and no birds will be outside.  We realise this is disappointing for our visitors, but we hope that by following these measures, the threat will eventually lift, and we can once more let the birds outside.

Muiravonside is Falkirk's only Country Park, providing 170 acres of stunning woodland and parkland, a mini demonstration farm, a sculpture trail and a children's play area.

The River Avon trail runs through the site, please follow the diversion signs to navigate round the section of route closed due to rock fall. The John Muir way passes close to the site and can be accessed by following the wooden stairs up to the top of the impressive aqueduct. The Sculpture and Poetry trail added to the park in 2016 can be enjoyed by heading through the archway off the main car park and then following the 'art in the park' way markers and map boards.

The park has a great play area next to the café, and also two adventure trails full of chunky wooden play equipment and suitable for the more adventurous. They are waymarked Activ8 and Play Trail and can be started either near the café or the car park.

Annual Car Parking passes are now available again. You must pay over the phone on 01324 506850 And then collect on a Thursday lunchtime from site. Cost £50. Ask for T+C when you call to purchase

We run a regular conservation volunteering program which you can join at any time. We welcome everyone and you don't need any special skills, just enthusiasm, sensible outdoor clothing and an interest in improving the park. Please contact the Countryside Ranger to register your interest and find out more via our email address.

Fishing is by Permit only. Information on this is available from

Support the Farm

Newparks farm is home to a wide collection of animals and as you can imagine there's a lot of food, care and attention required to keep them healthy and safe. Your support help us cover the costs of the up keep and allow us to provide the best care possible for the animals.

If you'd like to support the farm there's a few different options:

We have four amazing donkeys who arrived at the farm as rescues and if you'd like to help with their upkeep by sponsoring, donating or even coming to the farm to meet them visit our support page.

Or you can now become a Friend of the Farm and for only £20.00 a year you can make a massive difference to the animals lives and in return we will send you a Christmas card and gift now, plus an update at Easter, as well as inviting you to a special VIP guided farm tour in the summer.
