The Audio Story Company to take up residency at FTH Theatre
FTH Theatre, Falkirk, and The Audio Story Company are delighted to announce a brand-new partnership taking residency in FTH Theatre, commencing with two free performances on 25 June 2022.
This project has been made possible through funding from The Performing Arts Venues Relief Fund (PAVR) from the Scottish Government, through Creative Scotland. The fund was established in 2021 to help performing arts venues remain solvent, return staff from furlough and enable new artistic commissions from freelance artists.
As part of the collaboration, The Audio Story Company will be delivering a series of creative engagement events and performances to help re-engage local communities with the arts and their local theatre. The Audio Story Company will be presenting Happiness Collectors, their audio-immersive live experience for family audiences. These events will take place in local landmark sites such as The Kelpies, Callendar Parkand the Howgate Shopping Centre.
The culmination of the residency will see the development of a brand-new theatrical offering for family audiences; inspired by local people, communities and their stories.
Happiness Collectors is a fusion of physical theatre and audio-immersive storytelling. Each audience member experiences the show through a set of headphones and is guided by their very own Happiness Collector instructor. The audience members learn how to become fully certified Happiness Collectors and then they are transported by sound and music to destinations around the world and invited to complete a series of fun, physical tasks to collect some much-needed happiness. Happiness Collectors aims to bring people and communities together through the promotion of joy, well-being, and the sharing of collective experience.
