Falkirk Community Trust announcement
Falkirk Council, on 20 January 2021, reached a decision to bring all the services managed by Falkirk Community Trust back under their control at a date, yet to be agreed. These services include the cultural, recreational, sports and library services that the Trust has been managing on behalf of the Council since the Trust was established back in 2011.
Falkirk Community Trust is clearly disappointed in this decision at a time when we believe we should be focusing all our efforts on recovery from the pandemic. Despite this uncertainty we will continue to champion and work towards our vision of communities in Falkirk becoming the most creative and active they can possibly be, and will achieve this by continuing to live out our values, to which we are firmly committed:
- Valuing the positive difference people make
- Acting with integrity
- Placing people’s needs at the heart of everything we do
- Being proud of what we can achieve together
Falkirk Community Trust has achieved a tremendous amount over the last nine years, with an unwavering dedication to serve the communities of Falkirk. In the interests of those we continue to serve, we will continue working to provide an excellent level of service and we will work with Falkirk Council to deliver as smooth a transition as possible
