Our Active Forth Highlights
Over the past year we have extended our Active Forth programme from working with patients with chronic conditions or are post-surgery or have injuries to those with Osteoporosis, Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis. For over 15 years Active Forth have been helping Falkirk to become more physically active. All exercise programmes are tailored to the participant’s needs with support from the team along the way. We presently have 1160 members who are part of the programme. Scott Russell joined in 2014 after heart bypass surgery and regained his fitness.
“I unfortunately suffered a heart attack in 2016 but the Cardiologist Surgeon said that my fitness actually saved my life, so as soon as I was able, it was back to the gym to Active Forth Class and a gym programme with the team upstairs. I do Tabata and Aquafit as well and really enjoy the classes and the camaraderie.”
“I had almost given up hope of having a normal life and felt that a very restricted life lay ahead of me. The improvement in my life style has been magical. I do realise that I will never return to my previous active life but I do appreciate the hope I have been given.” M.Finn
