Scottish Water floods Callendar Park (with Volunteers!)
A hardy team of 14 Scottish Water employees, led by Gillian McFarlane, volunteered over 56 hours of their time on the 12th of November to help improve Callendar Park.
No slackers here! The team were hard at work and managed to successfully install 3 Roman-themed wooden roundels in the play park, drill the roadway and install 20 solar lights, build 14 hardwood benches, and hand clear the invasive rhododendron at the south side of the loch. (Phew! Say that in one breath.)
Thanks to the efforts of the volunteers, the play park installation is now complete and the benches are ready to be installed as part of the on-going pathwork upgrades.
On behalf of Falkirk Community Trust, we would like to say thank you to Gillian and her team from Scottish Water for their hard work and the contribution they have made to the community of Falkirk!
