Learn a new language or brush up on your skills with our new service, Transparent Language Online. It's free with your library membership and there are no ads or restrictions on how much you can learn.
There's also KidSpeak for junior learners.
Once you've signed up for an account on the Transparent Language website, you'll be able to access the service in the app or in a web browser.
Before you can log in to start using the app you need to register on the website.
1. Visit the Transparent Languages website to register: https://library.transparent.com/falkirk/game/ng/#/login
2. Enter your library card number and email address.
3. Choose your username and password.
4. Start learning on the website, or download the app.

Using KidSpeak
Kidspeak is only available for Chinese, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Access to KidSpeak requires a Transparent Language Online account (see above how to register).
1. Sign in to Transparent Language Online (see above how to create an account)
2. Set your learning language to the language you want to learn by clicking the language drop down menu in the upper left corner. Select “More languages”, then choose the appropriate language.
Once you have selected the language you wish to learn, click the KIDSPEAK tab at the top of the screen to launch KidSpeak.

If the website does not recognise your library card number, please double check the number and then visit or contact your local library at libraries@falkirk.gov.uk.
This could be caused by one of the following problems:
You have changed your library card number and are using an old library card
Your library account has expired – library memberships automatically expire every three years and must be renewed. You can do this by logging onto the library catalogue with your card number and PIN, or by visiting or contacting the library.
