Love being outdoors or keen to try something new? Our Outdoor Activities programme is all about fresh air, adventure and building confidence in some of Scotland’s most amazing landscapes.
We run single‑day outings, skills courses and seasonal trips covering walking, mountaineering, climbing, scrambles, wind sports and more.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or ready to push yourself a little further, there’s something here for every ability and ambition.

How To Book Activities Book any activity online or by using our App. If you are new, simply register for an account when you book and you will be guided through each step. Once registered, you will be able to manage your bookings easily and keep track of upcoming activities in one place.

Mountain Training Scotland We offer Mountain Leader Training for those looking to take their outdoor skills to the next level. Our courses support aspiring Mountain Leaders with high‑quality training in navigation, leadership and decision‑making, delivered by experienced instructors in some of Scotland’s best mountain environments.

Adult Consent Form All participants must complete an Adult Consent Form before taking part in our outdoor activities. Parents or Guardians of children taking part in activities must fill in a Children’s Consent Form on their behalf.

Our Outdoor Activities Base
Everything starts from our Outdoor Activities Base in Skinflats. All specialist equipment is provided and transport to activity locations is included, making it easy to explore the outdoors without any hassle or uncertainty.
Whether you are heading into the hills, trying a new activity or building your skills, all you need to do is arrive ready for the adventure. We’ll take care of the rest.
Outdoor Activities Base
All our courses start and finish from our new premises at Bothkennar Hub and transport to and from there is included in the fee. Start times are listed within the relevant course event page, finish times will vary. Please ensure you plan on being out with us all day - if conditions are good we will make the most of them. Venues are dependant on Mother Nature and will be decided on the day of activities.
