  • Facilities

Toilets - The public toilet block is located beside the children's play park, and behind the Lily & Rose catering unit.

    • There are 5 female toilets, 3 male urinals, 1 male toilet, 1 disabled toilet, and a baby changing facility.
    • The toilet block opening times vary.
    • Toilets can be requested to be open for the duration of outdoor events; however, it is the event organisers responsibility to inform the events team of this requirement.
    • There are toilets available within Callendar House, however, permission to use these must be given prior to the event as they are reserved for House users.

Vehicle Access: There is vehicle access to the main events space to help with event builds. Use of vehicles within the Park must be discussed with the Events Team.

Power and Water Access: No third-party event organiser has the right access to power and water on site with an agreed site permission. This must be discussed with events team and may incur additional charges.

  • Catering

Lily & Rose Catering van (8.30am-5pm) - The Park hosts the Lily & Rose food drink catering unit. This unit is located by the children's play park, in front of the toilet block. This unit serves hot food, snacks, ice cream, and hot and cold drinks. This unit has the capacity to serve outdoor events taking place on the park. It is the event organisers responsibility to notify the events department that the catering unit is required.

  • Considerations

Events over 500 people – Due to limited parking in Callendar Park when there are events with an expected attendance over 500 (participants and spectators combined) we require to protect the access to the high-rise flats. This is due to the flat’s population being mostly elderly and many of whom require care. Unfortunately, there have been issues regarding access to the flats, therefore it is imperative all events in the Park do not interfere with residents, care providers, or emergency services attempting to gain access.

The event organiser must provide signage to display within the tower blocks to ensure suitable notification is given to the residents. Stewarding must be utilised to stop any parking within the residential area. All residents are given parking passes and they will display them to ensure an easy flow through the control point.

Unless permission is given to use the Park exclusively the site should remain open to residents, Council staff, Callendar House visitors, Cowshed visitors, LMG Hair clients, and regular park users. Event organisers must inform all participants, audience, spectators that there is strictly no event parking in Callendar Park, and this should be signposted.

Please note that a reputable stewarding company must be used and that no volunteers can be used for this.

Callendar House is open Wednesday - Monday from 10am-5pm. It is the event's organisers responsibility to ensure visitors to the House can still gain access. The House should not be accessed by event goers unless permission has been granted or in case of an emergency.

Residents - There are 7 high rise flats located within Callendar Park (Symon, Maxwell, Eastburn, Marshall, Paterson, Leishman, and Belmont Towers) with an approximate population of 500 people. Most of these residents are elderly and will have regular visits from family and carers. it is imperative that there is minimal disruption and so we ask no park user use any of the residential parking spaces.
