General

Will there be seating provided at the performance?

No, there will not be seating provided for this performance. Please bring your picnic blanket or deck chair. If you do bring a deck chair, please note that you may be asked to sit further back to not obstruct other audience members. Please also ensure you are seated at least 2 metres from any other groups. Staff will be on hand to show you where to set up to ensure you are a safe distance.

What can I bring to an outdoor theatre events?

You can bring a picnic blanket and a picnic to the performance. There will be some catering available onsite. No alcohol is permitted.

Can I bring my deckchair?

Yes you can, but please note that you maybe seated at the back so not to obstruct other audience members.

Are pets allowed in the event?

No, please do not bring pets to the event. We do allow guide dogs.

Can I bring an assistance dog with me?

Yes, guide dogs for the blind, hearing dogs for the deaf and assistance dogs are all permitted.

Is the event suitable for children?

Yes, the performance is suitable for 7 years+

Do you allow babies in pushchairs?

Yes we do. The park is fully accessible for pushchairs, although the performance does take place on grass.

What time does the event finish?

The show is 2 hours long including an interval. It will finish 2 hours from the start time on your ticket.

Will there be food available?

Yes, there will be an ice cream van serving teas and coffee. Feel free to bring a picnic with you.

Is alcohol permitted?

No, alcohol cannot be brought onto site and no alcohol will be sold at the event.

What should I wear?

The weather is always changing in Scotland, so be prepared! Bring sunscreen if its hot, layers in case it cools down and don’t forget your waterproof jacket in case it rains!

Will there be fireworks?

There will be no fireworks at this event.

Are there toilets available?

Yes, there are toilets and disabled toilets in the park and these are clearly signposted. There are also a changing places toilet in the large car park at The Helix Park. There is not a changing places toilet at Callendar Park.

Are Strobe Effects used in the performance?

There are no strobe effects used in the performance

Will the park be closed?

The park will remain open throughout the day and during the event.

How can I get more involved?

Do you take credit/debit cards?

The vendors onsite do take cards. However sometimes it can be helpful to have cash in case the card machine does not work.

Tickets


How much are tickets?

Tickets are £14 per adult, £11 per child/concession or £45 for a family ticket

Can I collect tickets from the box office?

No, there is no collect at box office for this event. You will receive your ticket via email, all tickets will be scanned, and customers must have a e-ticket with a unique bar code. Valid tickets will be accepted in all formats, whether printed or on mobile phone.

I have not received my email confirmation, is this normal?

No, if you haven't received an email confirming your ticket purchase, please send us details of your booking and when you booked your tickets. Please email bookings@falkirkcommunitytrust.org or call 01324 506850.

Will my tickets be posted out to me?

No, your tickets will be an e-ticket. The unique bar code on your e-ticket can be read on your smart phone or you can print it out and bring it with you. If you cannot find your e-ticket please email bookings@falkirkcommunitytrust.org or call 01324 506850.

Why do I need to buy a ticket in advance?

There will be no tickets available to buy on the door. All tickets must be bought in advance in order to comply with the NHS track and trace.

Do I need to buy a car parking pass in advance?

This event does not require a parking pass. Parking can be found at the park. There are other transport options too, you can walk or cycle to the event.

What time should we arrive?

The doors open 1 hour before the show begins. Please arrive in plenty of time to get seated with your picnic blanket. Late comers may not be permitted.

Is there a waiting list for tickets if they sell out?

Yes, we are operating a waiting list. If tickets become available you will be contacted via telephone.
Accessibility

Is it suitable for children or elderly?

Yes! The event has been designed to cater for all ages and abilities; however, care should be taken on paths and walk ways.

Is it suitable for people with access needs?

Yes the park is fully accessible to wheelchair users, but please note that the seating area is on grass. The grass area is well drained, and flat so wheel chairs can cross comfortably.

Are there disabled toilets on site?

Yes, there are disabled toilets available on Callendar and Helix Park. Changing places toilets are only available at Helix Park, in the large car park.

I am a blue badge holder, where can I park?

Helix Park blue badge parking is available at Falkirk Stadium and the small carpark. Please note that the performance takes place on the Great Lawn, next to the Lagoon. Please do not park at the Visitor Centre as this is the furthest distance from the performance. Callendar Park blue badge parking is available at Estate Avenue carpark and in the Woodland carpark.

Can I bring a pushchair or wheelchair?

Yes, the event is fully accessible. We have baby changing, disabled facilities onsite. There is a changing places toilets at Helix park only too.

Do you have wheelchairs or mobility scooters on site for public use?

No we do not, so you will need to provide your own mobility aids. The site is accessible for all wheelchairs.

Travel


Where can we park?

There is parking available at the park.
Helix: There is free parking for the Helix Park at Falkirk Stadium and at the small car park in the Helix park. There is a £2 charge to park in the large car park in the Helix park.

Callendar Park: There is free parking at Callendar Business Park, Estate Avenue and in the Woodland car park.

Cancellation

What will happen if the weather is very bad?

The event will only be cancelled if the weather in Falkirk is perceived to be a danger to the public (e.g. extremely high winds).

The event will not be cancelled in the following circumstances:

  • Heavy rain in Falkirk - we advise that all visitors dress appropriately for the weather
  • Heavy rain in other areas of Scotland - we advise our visitors to take note of the weather conditions on route to the event and allow ample time for their journey.
  • Very Cold Weather - we advise that our visitors dress warmly and appropriately for cold weather
  • The decision to cancel will be made at 11am on the day of the event. Shortly after which we will endeavour to contact you either by e-mail or by text and a notice will be posted on the front page of our website and social media sites.
  • You should check the web site and social media from noon of the event day.

If the event is cancelled do I get a refund?

Yes, you will be refunded. Your payment details are not held on file so, in the event of a refund, please wait at least 48 hours and then contact us via email.

What will happen if the COVID protection level changes?

This event may be cancelled due to COVID protection levels changing. If the event is cancelled due to COVID protection levels changing to a level that does not allow the performance to take place a full refund will be issued.

If your local area protection level changes and you are no longer able to travel to the event we cannot offer a cash refund on your ticket, but we can offer you one of the following:

  • Credit on your account for you to spend at a later date at one of our art venues: Hippodrome Cinema, Falkirk Town Hall and Callendar House.
  • Or you can choose donate your ticket to supporting Heartbreak Productions and Falkirk Community Trust
  • If you can no longer attend due to COVID Please call Box Office on: 01324 506850


Photography


Is photography allowed?

Yes. Feel free to take a picture or a selfie, but please note you cannot move from your seat and get in other peoples way.

Can I bring my drone to the event?

No. Use of a drone on the site of the event, or within a 150 metre radius of the event site, contravenes aviation safety legislation and, to ensure the safety of the general public, we reserve the right to call the police to intervene.

COVID Health & Safety

What safety procedures have you put in place?

We have reduced the capacity of the event to ensure that the audience can be socially distanced whilst still being able to hear and see the performance. In addition we will be showing you to your space to set up your picnic blanket, there will be hand sanitising stations at the entrance, we will be operating a one way system and there will be an enhanced cleaning regime of the toilets.

Will I need to wear a face mask?

As this performance is outside your are not required to wear a face mask, however if you feel more comfortable wearing a face mask please do. Please do wear a face mask when using the toilets.

Do I need to show a negative test to attend the event?

Government guidance as of 24th May 2020 does not require us to ask audience members to show a negative test, however this policy could change.

We do ask that audience members do not attend if they are showing symptoms or if anyone in their household is showing symptoms or has tested positive.

We also ask audience members to do their bit and go and get tested at one of the local test units or get a test kit delivered to their home here.

Will the event be socially distanced?

Yes, each household will be seated 2 metres from each other.

Can more than one household sit together?

No, we are seating the audience according to their household. This is to ensure that there is enough space for everyone to see.

If I cannot attend due to COVID symptoms or testing positive for COVID, can I get a refund ?

We cannot offer a cash refund on your ticket, but we can offer you one of the following:

  • Credit on your account for you to spend at a later date at one of our art venues: Hippodrome Cinema, Falkirk Town Hall and Callendar House.
  • Or you can choose donate your ticket to supporting Heartbreak Productions and Falkirk Community Trust
  • If you can no longer attend due to COVID Please call Box Office on: 01324 506850

Can I get a refund if the area I live in protection level changes?

If your local area protection level changes and you are no longer able to travel to the event we cannot offer a cash refund on your ticket, but we can offer you one of the following:

  • Credit on your account for you to spend at a later date at one of our art venues: Hippodrome Cinema, Falkirk Town Hall and Callendar House.
  • Or you can choose donate your ticket to supporting Heartbreak Productions and Falkirk Community Trust
