Previous winter walking experience, or completion of a recent winter skills course, is an essential prerequisite for these walks.
The usual approach to these two fine Arrochar Munros is from Succoth, but that involves an extra 4km walk and more ascent - not forgetting the hefty parking charges! If the Rest and Be Thankful road isn't falling down, we can go from there. It's a less scenic plod to the bealach but we can make fast progress that way, which is essential in early January.
