Our High Tops outings take hill walking to the next level.

They are longer and a bit more demanding, with a fair bit of height gained on a mixture of paths and open hill. Sometimes we take bikes – which we always advertise – so we can go further into remote areas. We will usually do a couple of summits, either Munros or Corbetts or a combination of both. Good craic in fine company making memorable days on the hill.

Beinn a’ Bheithir

12km with 1220 metres of ascent.

The mountain of the serpent broods high above Loch Leven. Its two Munros offer continued interest after the forest walking on this variation of the usual baggers route. Starting in Ballachulish a well signed way leads so far then we veer off through a clearing and onto the north ridge of Sgorr Dearg. This is followed to the summit, then on to the next Munro - Sgorr Dhonuill, and then west again down to the new path back to the forestry and the village.

High Tops start at 7am and are delivered in small groups, with a maximum of eight participants.
