Cult hit event Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote comes to the Hippodrome Cinema, Bo’ness with the Scottish premiere of an interactive screening of the classic Murder, She Wrote episode “Old Habits Die Hard”.  The queen of TV detectives Angela Lansbury plays Jessica Fletcher who, in this classic episode, is invited to a convent school to visit an old sorority sister (now a nun), but soon there’s a murder that only she (or you!) can solve!

Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote is a unique and hilarious night featuring games, prizes and audience participation, with special permission from NBC Universal Television.  See the show Time Out rated one of 2021 and 2019’s 50 Great Nights Out in London that has played to sell-out audiences across the UK and Australia and a hit of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2023 and 2024.
 
Hosted by super-fan Tim Benzie, Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote features: A race to solve to the crime, via the Fameometer and the Suspiciometer! A Cabot Cove quiz!  A singalong to the theme tune with new lyrics! Clips and bios of the campy guest stars!  The Hippodrome café/bar will be open for snacks and themed cocktails 18:30 – 19:30 before the show begins, and will reopen 20:50 – 21:10 for the interval.  
 
Tim Benzie is obsessed with Murder, She Wrote, having watched the original series when it was first broadcast, and now relishing the repeats on television everywhere. An award-winning playwright and co-writer of the Royal Vauxhall Tavern’s 2017-2024 pantos (‘Goosed’, ‘Rubbed’, ‘Slipped’, ‘Pricked’, ‘Cracked’ and the Offie Award winning ‘Tossed’.). He is the co-producer of the camp club night PopHorror.
