Come join us with mycologist, Marco Tenconi, for a two hour workshop that will introduce you to the different ways we can work with fungal allies to build resilience - Exploring the potential of a ‘radical mycology’ we will consider how mushrooms can help us transform our food system from one that is based on total exploitation of land and labour to one that strengthens and nurtures our communities.

The workshop will include presentation, conversation and two practical exercises: making oyster mushroom grow kits to take home, and making candle holders out of mycelium.

If possible we would like to use recycled materials for the grow kits. If you can, please bring along a container for your kit. This should be:

• Between 2 and 5 litres in volume
• Have a lid of some kind
• Be thoroughly cleaned
• Be food safe (no paint tins etc.)
• For example, large ice cream tubs, small buckets with lids, large coke bottles etc.
