The Brassketeers have had to withdraw from this concert because one of the players has a new job with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. We are very grateful that the Triquetra Brass Trio are able to play for us instead.

Triquetra are a vibrant group of recent graduates from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. The three started working together during lockdown and are keen to promote brass playing in the community, as well as introducing seldom-heard pieces to their repertoire and developing a unique sound together. Trumpeter Emily Stokes was born in East London, but her musical education has spanned the UK with studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Royal Welsh College of Music. She studied performance at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and has played with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and Welsh National Opera.
Peter McNeill, who plays the horn, comes from Musselburgh. He won the Governors Recital Price for Brass while at the Royal Scottish Conservatoire. He spent time in Germany on an Erasmus exchange. He also does freelance work with the RSNO, BBC SSO and Scottish Opera. Jordan Fairley plays the Trombone. She comes from Carnoustie where she learned Trombone in local brass bands. She also does freelance work with the RSNO, BBC SSO and Scottish pops orchestra. She teaches brass in 9 schools in Angus.” The programme is yet to be confirmed
