Tabea Debus was born in Würzburg in Germany and studied at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and the Royal Academy of Music in London. She was a prize-winner at the Young Classical Artists Trust International Auditions (London) in 2018. She recently returned to perform at the Wigmore hall. She has developed several projects including the music art-game Soundshapes and Endo the Earthworm – a video series using puppets.
She will be joined by lutenist Alon Sariel; they regularly play together and the combination of Recorder and lute or works particularly well for baroque music. Alon comes from Israel and has a varied international career, including a spell touring with Daniel Barenboim’s West-Eastern Divan orchestra. He now lives in Hanover.
