New Gymnastic Facilities: Coming Soon
We are investing over £110,000 in the future of gymnastics within the Falkirk area. Following a recent decision at a meeting of Falkirk Council we will be relocating our gymnastics programme from the Carron Gymnastics Centre to two enhanced venues: the Mariner Centre, Camelon and Larbert High School.
This move represents a new opportunity to provide our gymnasts with improved, modern, and sustainable facilities, ensuring the long-term success and growth of this hugely popular sport.
A Positive Step Forward for Our Gymnastics Community
This is an exciting development for all participants in our gymnastics programme. Our goal is to ensure a seamless transition and an even better experience for all.
Key benefits of this relocation include:
- Enhanced Facilities: We are investing £110,362 in upgrading the two facilities. This includes construction works, fit-out, and the purchase of brand-new equipment to create high quality gymnastics environments.
- Programme Continuity: We have worked hard to minimise disruption. The majority of classes will transfer to the new venues at the same day and time. With a small number of classes requiring slight time adjustments, and we will communicate directly with those affected well in advance.
- Greater Accessibility & Inclusion: The new locations in the Mariner Centre and Larbert High School are fully accessible venues and will allow us to introduce dedicated classes for children with Additional Support Needs (ASN), in a manner that was not possible at the Carron Gymnastics Centre.
- Opportunities for Growth: The move to the Mariner Centre opens up the potential for approximately 20 hours of additional programming per week, creating space for up to 150 new members to join our thriving gymnastics community.
The relocation is planned to take place by October 2025. We are committed to keeping you fully informed throughout this process.
We are confident that this is the right decision for the future of sport in Falkirk and the 964 users who access our gymnastics programme. The relocation will deliver a host of benefits for our gymnasts and the wider community. We appreciate your understanding and support as we embark on this exciting new chapter.
