Libraries are one of the few places you can go that’s free! You can borrow up to 30 books, or just come in to study, read or use a PC.
Study
Most of our libraries have space where you can study at a table. We have lots of exam guides. Visit the library catalogue to search for a guide.
If you have a tablet issued by your school you'll automatically connect to library WIFI.
Digital Library
Your library membership gives you access to a range of apps and websites for reading, listening and learning. All free to access anytime, anywhere.
There's daily newspapers and popular magazines. Disappear into a good ebook or audiobook. Learn a language or prepare for your driving test.

Read
Libraries have dedicated Young Adult fiction sections in our libraries as well as a huge graphic novel collection. If we don’t have it, talk to the library staff and we’ll see if we can get it for you.
Use library PCs
If you’re over 12, you’re welcome to use a library PC once you’ve signed our Acceptable Use Policy. You will need to be a library member, so you’ll need a parent to act as a guarantor by signing your membership form and showing their ID.
Pass your Driving Theory Test
Practice the theory and hazard perception elements online for free. Theory Test Pro contains all the official test questions licensed from the DVSA, the people who set the tests.
If you're a library member, head to the Theory Test Pro website to create your free account now.
