During a public swim session on the evening of Wednesday 11 February, a ball made contact with a light fitting above the teaching pool at Grangemouth Sports Complex. This caused part of the light fitting to become dislodged.
Following inspections carried out this morning (12 February), a decision has been taken to close the teaching pool to allow for further detailed checks and any necessary remedial work.
At this stage, we expect the teaching pool to remain closed for up to one week. We will continue to review the situation and provide updates as soon as more information is available
