GYMNASTICS COACH TRAINING PROGRAMME - LEVEL 1 – ASSISTANT GYMNASTICS COACH

Falkirk Councils Gymnastics Development team are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated people to join our incredible gymnastics coaching team at Carron Gymnastics Centre.

You will be fully funded through a level 1 gymnastics coaching course. This will allow you to assist our head coaches in our exciting and progressive gymnastics programme. Throughout the course we will provide you with a course mentor from our gymnastics coaching team.

Upon gaining your qualification you will be able to join our coaching team as an assistant gymnastics coach, subject to successful application and recruitment checks, on a salary from £12.70 per hour.

Course Structure:

1. Online modules – available to you around four weeks before course start date.
2. Session 1 and 2 – eight hours each day on course practical delivery. In your gym – complete logbook activities with support from your mentor.
3. Session 3 – practical assessment and professional discussion. Normally around three months after your course to allow time for mentoring and logbook completion.

Requirements to apply:

Must be aged 16+

Have an interest in gymnastics and working with young people.

Must be looking to take up employment with Falkirk Council as an assistant coach.

Be able to shadow our gymnastics coaching staff while gaining your level 1 award with  up to 20 hours volunteering. This will allow you to complete your log book for the course.

After employment , must  be able to work at least one weekday evening from 4pm or 5pm Monday to Friday and/or on a weekend morning .

Course dates:

We will register you with a Scottish Gymnastics coaching course .

You may have to travel out with Falkirk to attend a course.
